"CIMIGro" - Careers in Internal Medicine Interest Group

CIMIGro, Duke Med's Internal Medicine interest group, is a student organization and support system aimed at promiting awareness as to the enormously diverse field of internal medicine. From primary care and general internal medicine to more specialized fields like cardiology, gastroenterology, and countless others, students interested in internal medicine often feel lost and overwhelmed at the plethora of career paths available to them. Recognizing this common frustration, CIMIGro was founded in 2005, with the following general goals:

To broaden exposure to faculty role models in the multitude of medicine- based fields

To foster mentoring relationships with medicine faculty

To promote interest in and awareness of the various roles an internist may play in the modern medical system.
