7 MembersCuban American Student Association (CASA)
The Cuban American Student Association acts in many capacities: as a network of Cuban-American students at Duke; as a means of raising campus awareness of Cuban and Cuban-American culture and concerns; as a forum for discussion, dialogue, and exchange on Cuba; as a link to larger national groups such as Raices de Esperanza and the University Council of the Cuban American National Foundation; and finally as an advocate for the respect of human rights on the island. All our welcome!! Need not be Cuban. Our events range from informal dinners with delicious Cuban food to lectures on Cuban culture (Cuban films, Cuban identity) to writing letters to prisoners of conscience in Cuba. Whether you are just looking for a way to meet other Cuban students or whether you are passionate about politics and human rights, you can find something for you within CASA.
