Major Attractions is a committee of Duke University Union (DUU), and its purpose is to bring major musical acts from a wide spectrum of genres to Duke, with an emphasis on popular artists and bands. Established in 1954, Major Attractions has been responsible for bringing artists like The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, and Simon and Garfunkel to campus. The committee organizes between 1-4 concerts every year, with a spring show in Cameron Indoor Stadium usually being the highlight.
Artists recently brought to campus by Major Attractions include Death Cab for Cutie, Franz Ferdinand, T.I., Regina Spektor, Augustana, Boys Like Girls, OK Go, Russell Peters, Pablo Francisco, and The Hush Sound.
