15 MembersAlpha Delta Pi (ADPi)
First. Finest. Forever. Founded in 1851, Alpha Delta Pi is the first secret society for women and the first sorority at Duke University. Everyday, our sisters demonstrate the highest qualities of friendship, loyalty, and strength of character that lie at the heart of our organization. Life as an ADPi offers eternal friendships, amazing college experiences, and a sisterhood far beyond Duke University.
Alpha Delta Pi sisters are everywhere on Duke’s campus. Our diverse group of women are active leaders in Duke Student Government, the Community Service Center, Freshmen Advisory Council, Dancing Devils, and Varsity Track and Field, just to name a few. Whether in class, at a meeting, or as Cameron Crazies, we are strong, visible women who truly love spending time together. You might find us dressed in camo for our annual Mallard Ball date function or dancing the night away at I Heart 80Pi!
As ADPi sisters, we pride ourselves on our national philanthropy, the Ronald McDonald House (RMH), which houses families of young patients at the Duke Children’s Hospital. Each week, sisters go to the RMH to cook dinner together for the residents, spending time with our sisters while providing a great service to these families. Selling delicious waffles and having fun with our sisters, our semi-annual Waffle Breakfast on the main quad raises thousands of dollars for the RMH every semester.
Alpha Delta Pi’s open motto, “we live for each other,” exemplifies our incredible sisterhood!
